Bombah Point: Myall Lakes National Park Hidden Secret

If you’re looking for the best things to do around Bombah Point, this spot in Myall Lakes National Park is packed with plenty of ways to relax or explore in beautiful scenery and calm waterways. You might see sea eagles flying overhead, wallabies bouncing through the bush, or even a koala hanging out in the trees.

There’s heaps to do – swim, read, grab a kayak and paddle across the lake, walk along those long, quiet beaches (and there are over 40 km km of untouched beaches here), or climb the dunes for beautiful coastal views. It won’t take you long to get into the quiet rhythm of the place and spread out a picnic blanket under the trees or look out for whales passing by in the distance.

And the food? So good. One of the best things to do around Bombah Point is trying the local seafood. You can have your share of fresh plump oysters, local prawns, and perfectly cooked fish straight from the water. Whether you’re camping under the stars or staying somewhere comfy, Bombah Point has that peaceful, green aura that makes you never want to leave and return to the city bustle. So, pack your sense of adventure, and get ready to experience one of NSW best-kept secrets.

Getting to Bombah Point, NSW

Getting to Bombah Point is easy. It’s about a 2.5-hr drive north of Sydney. Just follow the Pacific Highway, take the turnoff toward Bulahdelah, and cruise through the beautiful forest and lakes of Myall Lakes National Park.

You can also cross the lake on the Bombah Point Ferry, a fun little car ferry that links the southern and northern sections of the park. It’s a short trip but such a great experience to slow down, take in the views, and enjoy the peace before you arrive at your geaway spot.
