Mudgee’s got history. Its oldest building dates back to 1852, making it the second oldest town west of the Great Dividing Range. Today, it’s home to trendy boutiques and modern shops where you can join local events like art workshops, heritage walks, or pub cruises, or get outdoors with kayaking, horse riding, exploring the wetlands, wandering the Ferntree Gully rainforest trail, or even taking a hot air balloon ride.

- A boutique vineyard definitely worth a stop, sip and stay is 791 Estate located at Ulan Road. ‘Fiona the Owner’ & grape grower Brendan are part of this vineyard’s charm. Enjoy a tasting and a bite to eat in the newly renovated cellar door, or grab a glass and sit under the shady trees outside.
