The Mudgee region is approximately 3 hours & 45 minute drive from Sydney. You will need a car when you get there. Or fly Pelican Airlines to Mudgee and hire a car if you’re tight on time.

Since the new owners took over in 2010, have steadily introduced sustainable vineyard management, right down to biodiversity and bio-secure practices. From attracting beneficial insects to shoo’íng away the nasties to help reduce risk of disease & encouraging healthy strong vines.
• A boutique vineyard definitely worth a stop, sip and stay is 791 Estate located at Ulan Road. ‘Fiona the Owner’ & grape grower Brendan are part of this vineyard’s charm. Enjoy a tasting and a bite to eat in the newly renovated cellar door, or grab a glass and sit under the shady trees outside.
• You won’t miss the bright, converted  container set against an ancient rocky ridges just 5 minutes south of Mudgee arriving at First Ridge Wines. Boasting quite rightly aware winning Italian varietals such as Barbera, Sangiovese, Montelpuciano, Vermentino, Fiano, Sangiovese Rosé, Pinot Grigio, Prosecco & Frizzantehigh.
