Whether with friends, family, or your own thoughts, this peaceful escape is all about unwinding. It’s only two hours from Sydney and just 20 minutes from charming Blackheath.

Pure magic for wine lovers! Enjoy sweeping vineyard views framed by the soaring sandstone cliffs of the Blue Mountains. Sunrise Lodge is the ideal boutique retreat for couples, families, or small groups. It sleeps 2–4 guests or up to 12 with a second property available. Each of the two spacious bedrooms includes its own ensuite, providing comfort and privacy for every guest. After a day of exploring, sink into the jacuzzi for two and chat about your adventures.

Inside, the spacious living room features a large open fireplace – perfect for relaxing at night. Gather on the comfortable sofa or linger over long meals at the country-style dining table. On warm days, step onto the deck to graze with vineyard views. It’s perfect for sunset drinks, cheese platters, or alfresco dining under the stars.

Pack your supplies or stock up in Blackheath before you arrive as there are no nearby food stores. No need to worry about wine – just visit the on-site cellar door. And yes, by arrangement, you can bring your pet! That makes Sunrise Lodge a rare pet-friendly stay in the Blue Mountains. Everything is ready for an especially memorable escape – just arrive, settle in, and enjoy the peace.

Megalong Valley Vineyard Lodge – A Lasting Legacy

Bob and Barbara Tyrrell established Dryridge Estate in 2000. After Bob’s sudden passing in 2013, new owners took the reins. Luckily, Simon and Emma’s experience in farming, hospitality, and events brought fresh energy to the estate. Today, their passion is clear in every detail.

Further, with a welcoming cellar door and spacious facilities, Dryridge Estate is perfect for wine tastings, celebrations, and weddings. Wine tastings are held every Saturday and Sunday. For a complete experience, book with your stay a vertical tasting to explore the variety of styles. It’s included if you stay over a weekend. You must also indulge in Dryridge Estate’s generous share platters! If you’re staying mid-week you’ll be welcomed with a bottle of wine.

Blue Mountains Wedding Venue with Vineyard

Dryridge Estate weddings are often described as “dreamy.” The venue offers full event planning for up to 100 guests and accommodation for 12 across two nearby properties. The newlyweds can enjoy exclusive use of Sunrise Lodge while friends and family stay just minutes away at The Homestead.

You’ll be well-supported by a dedicated onsite team managing every detail with care. Once, staff rescued a stranded marriage celebrant to ensure the ceremony went ahead! Whatever happens, the team is ready to make the day perfect.

Wine Tasting at Dryridge Estate, Megalong Valley

On site wine tasting on weekends and Fridays in winter. A bottle of wine is included for a mid-week guest stay. With a vineyard at your feet and the mountains as your backdrop, Dryridge Estate offers rustic country charm. Whether it’s a wedding, enjoying a weekend escape, or craving time with loved ones, Sunrise Lodge is your  country haven. It feels a world away, but it’s only a short drive from Sydney.

For adventurous and energetic guests, the renowned Six Foot Track is nearby. After hiking, return for a soak in the outdoor tub and a well-earned drink.
