Battunga Cottages – Rosella, Clare Valley features one bedroom with a queen size bed, a separate living area, kitchenette, bathroom and private veranda with leadlight entrance.

Begin your day in this idyllic ‘A Walk in the Clouds’ country waking to the gentle chorus of magpies, galahs, and kookaburras. Then enjoy a generous farmhouse breakfast basket brimming with locally sourced delights such as freshly baked bread, farm-fresh eggs, local bacon, cereals, juice, and spreads. Both Kerry and Mark happily accommodate dietary requests with advance notice.

There are extra local snacks, fruit and thoughtful touches to enhance your experience. For example, an offering of local cheese, olives, dip, crackers and wine to enjoy. You will be hard pressed to come across such generosity in a B&B!

Battunga Cottages – Group Accommodation

Ideal for group getaways, Battunga offers four self-contained units, each equipped with full breakfast provisions. “Galah” and “Parrot” accommodate up to 4 guests with two bedrooms each, while “Kookaburra” and “Rosella” are perfect for couples or solo travellers, accommodating up to 2 guests each.

In total, Battunga accommodates up to 12 guests.

Battunga’s Location – Trails, Parks and Pubs

It’s a short walk to the ridge above the cottage and you are right on the Clare Valley Wine and Wilderness Trail. In the other direction is the picturesque road to the Blue Gum Lookout and the walking trails of the Spring Gully Conservation Park. This leads to the Cascades waterfall and panoramic views to the west.

Explore Clare’s renowned Riesling Trail by bike, soaking in the breathtaking views along one of South Australia’s best cycling routes. In addition, delight in gourmet food trails and later unwind on your verandah sipping local wines as the sun sets. Then later, watch as the stars light up over the vineyards.
